Hello Taylor Nation!
The Enchantress has received the 2012 Honorary Star of Compassion
Award from officials at Northwest Tennessee Disaster Recovery. According
to StarPulse.com,
the Blonde With The Sparkly Guitar was named the recipient after her
charity work during state disasters and her multiple donations to
schools.
Rob Adcock, director of the organization, had this to say about the
Sparkly Dressed: ”Taylor Swift has inspired the small community of
Northwest Tennessee with her uplifting words and music of encouragement
and has become a positive role model for the young and old alike here.
It is with great honor and appreciation that we present this one of a
kind, jeweled award to such an outstanding individual on behalf of our
organization.”
On other less exciting news, the Ottawa Citizen reports the Capital Hoedown
organizers have released a statement revealing the new venue for their
event: the Numech ranch in 6930 Fallowfield Rd. in Stittsville. However,
they will not get back their $72,000 deposit from the city as it’s
being seized by the Canada Revenue Agency for delaying to file their
taxes concerning the Capital Hoedown from 2011. The organizers are not
worried (they should be) and claim to be working on revamping their
lineup. A previous statement declared customers unhappy with the new
venue or the new lineup would be able to get a refund starting June 19.
