Whoa! What happened here?!
Although Taylor Swift had been widely reported as the lucky lady to be cast as Eponine in the upcoming Tom Hooper-directed adaptation of the musical Les Misérables, it appears now that theater actress Samantha Barks, who played the role during the 25th Anniversary Concert, has won the role!
During the curtain call of Manchester's Palace Theatre performance of Oliver! last night, in which Barks is currently playing Nancy, producer Cameron Mackintosh
appeared on stage to make the announcement for the first time to the
cast and audience alike that the young actress had won the part - and
according to audience members present, "the look on her face was
priceless."

You can't deny she's a pretty solid fit!
But we can't help but wonder what went down behind-the-scenes that got Swift the boot? That was the role of a lifetime for her!
